Pakistan court orders release of man convicted over 2002 beheading of American journalist Daniel Pearl

Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, 38, disappeared while investigating militant links to the so-called shoe bomber. His body was discovered in a shallow grave soon after a video of his beheading was delivered to the US consulate in Karachi.
