Bridge restoration works progress after council decision

The proposed works include a full restoration of all remaining timber bridge piers and abutments to ensure their long-term viability from a conservation and load-carrying perspective. A new multi-span lightweight bridge structure measuring 6 m wide and 108 m long would be installed on top of the restored bridge piers and abutment works to provide connection on either side of the river.
