A Cabinet minister has defended the government ahead of Dominic Cummings’ blockbuster committee appearance saying “it’s easy to be the Professor of Hindsight”. Transport Secretary Grant Shapps dismissed Mr Cummings’ appearance before MPs as a "sideshow" and suggested he "has his own agenda".
