The decision to hand the Premier League player of the month award to Cristiano Ronaldo has been disputed by Gary Lineker, who believes Liverpool’s Mo Salah should have took home the prize easily. Ronaldo was given the honour for September on Friday following an influential start to his second spell at Manchester United that has so far seen the five-time Ballon d’Or winner score twice off the bench in his second debut against Newcastle as well as netting in the win over West Ham.
