Thunder restrict Heat after bowling first at Manuka

The Sydney Thunder require 141 for victory in their Big Bash opener after the Brisbane Heat rode their luck on an atypically tricky Manuka Oval wicket on Monday night. Returning paceman Gurinder Sandhu (2-17) and the franchise's all-time leading wicket taker Daniel Sams (3-22) did the damage either side of an 83-run third wicket stand behind Sam Heazlett (42) and English import Ben Duckett (46).
