Bulldogs part with premiership winner over vaccine refusal in an NRL first

John Asiata has become the first NRL player to walk away from the competition due to his stance on vaccinations with Canterbury agreeing to part ways with him. Canterbury have parted ways with forward John Asiata after the 28-year-old’s one-year contract was torn up by the NRL club for refusing to be vaccinated.
