CLUBS will get two pre-season hitouts ahead of the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership season, including one full-scale match in early March and another practice match organised with a rival team. The structure is similar to 2021 when the AFL looked to minimise travel for clubs as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to complicate professional sporting competitions.
