The Edmonton Oilers have kept busy ahead of the trade deadline, swinging a deal with the San Jose Sharks for defenceman Jake Walman.With the deadline less than 24 hours away, Oilers GM Stan Bowman pulled the trigger on the deal to shore up their defensive group. While it was expected that Edmonton would add a defenceman before tomorrow’s deadline expired, just about nobody had Walman as the guy to move.The full return has yet to be reported, but The Fourth Period’s David Pagnotta says a first-round pick is involved.> Walman is indeed going to Edmonton.
