The Giants on Wednesday confirmed the signing of Brander as a delisted free agent after he was not offered a new contract by West Coast. The 22-year-old grew up in New South Wales and was a part of GWS’ Academy up until his draft year in 2017.

GWS have signed ex-West Coast utility Jarrod Brander in the first move of the AFL's delisted free agency period.

JARROD Brander has signed with Greater Western Sydney as a delisted free agent. Brander was a member of the Giants' academy before being drafted by West Coast in 2017. He played 22 games for the Eagles across four seasons before being delisted at the end of the 2021 trade period.
